Pastor Kent Jackson
Scripture Reading: Acts 26:19-32
Sermon Title: “Bringing the Message of Light”
This week we will focus on the image of light in Paul’s ministry. It is interesting to note that the light which blinded Saul on the Road to Damascus becomes the light which illuminates for us the Way of Salvation.

Scripture Reading: Acts 25:13-22

Scripture Reading: Acts 24:10-21
Sermon Title: “The Offering”
The Collection for the Saints in Jerusalem is a narrative that runs throughout Paul’s ministry. As the story reaches its culmination Paul discusses his delivery of the offering upon his arrival in Jerusalem. This becomes a wonderful example for the church today as we consider the work to which we are called: who we are to serve and how we are to serve them.– Acts 24:17

4th Sunday of Advent
Pastor Kent Jackson
Scripture Reading: Acts 23:6-11
Sermon Title: “The Lord Has a Plan!”
There’s an old Yiddish saying that goes, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” The challenge for Christians today is a willingness to discern and then engage in the Lord’s plan for our lives. This week we see how the Lord will speak His plan into the midst of our life circumstances.

3rd Sunday of Advent
Pastor Kent Jackson
Scripture Reading: Acts 22:1-21
Sermon Title: “Interview with the Lord”
In this week’s passage from Acts 22 we find a recounting of Paul’s Damascus Road experience. The way Paul describes the encounter resembles an interview format. Paul is asking the questions and the Lord is responding to Paul’s request. This questioning reveals a process whereby a conversion, plus a calling leads to a commission.

2nd Sunday of Advent
Pastor Kent Jackson
Scripture Reading: Acts 21:1-14
Sermon Title: “There on the Beach”
Paul knew that trouble and hardship awaited him in Jerusalem. He knew that there were people who would cause him harm because of his faith testimony. The people who supported Paul along the way tried to keep him safe by advising him not to go. But for Paul, his ministry was more important than his safety. When we face challenges, we can be encouraged to respond as Paul’s supporters did, “there on the beach they knelt to pray.”
